How long have you been in business?
Kelly Custom Furniture & Cabinetry opened in 1991.
We are in our 20th year.
What is your primary product or service?
We design and build custom cabinetry and furniture.
Custom kitchens and built-ins are our specialties.
We also do commercial casework; bars for restaurants.
displays for museums and office furniture such as conference tables.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My background was in art at Carnegie Mellon University when I took an apprenticeship as a furniture finisher and cabinet maker at a very prestigious furniture company in Pittsburgh.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We give excellent customer service and years of experience to our clients. We have a showroom with our work on display and a large range of handles and knobs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our showroom is at 5239 Butler Street in historic Lawrenceville, inside the 1662 Design Zone,in Pittsburgh.
Our workshop is behind our showroom at 5222 Harrison Street where clients can see their work being done.

What type of payments do you accept?
We do not accept credit cards. Cash or check. There is a deposit then final payment upon delivery. On large jobs there
is a multiple payment plan.
Which areas do you service?
Primarily the Pittsburgh area, but we send our work all over the country.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Joe Kelly is the owner/operator.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5 PM. We encourage appointments as we are often out visiting clients and job sites.
