How long have you been in business?
Mattucci Photography began in 2007. I felt there was a real opportunity in the Pittsburgh and Western PA market, especially since some aerial photographers had left the industry after 9/11.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide aerial photography, commercial photography, high-definition aerial and ground videos. We also offer interior, exterior photography and video tours for homes, as well as product video for sellers looking to place their cars, boats, or aircraft for sale on the Internet.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have a professional background as a former airline and corportate pilot. I always had an interest in photography and would pack a small 35mm auto camera while flying. I decided to incorporate my love for both into a viable business opportunity.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
First: I am a true professional with my approach and work, not just a pilot taking aerial photos on the side. Second: I can add an artistic style and enhancements to my aerial images if needed for office or wall prints. Third: I also don’t shoot at angles that are not oriented with the horizon, unlike many aerial photos I’ve seen. Fourth: We own our aircraft so we don’t have to rent from a flying club or other aircraft rental operation which allows us to quickly schedule client’s missions without any conflicts from other providers. Finally, we offer a one-stop media service for companies looking for aerial/ground images and video.
